The plane truth about St. Cloud air service.

Attracting a commercial carrier to the St. Cloud Regional Airport is not just a matter of convenience. It's a business necessity in the view of the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation. Accordingly, the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation launched the Let's Go STC regional air service initiative in February 2012.

Regional air service that links to an international hub will grow business by making the St. Cloud, Minnesota region more accessible, and therefore more attractive, for current and prospective employers from a globalization point of view. Additionally, regional air service will help to expand the area's talent base, serving as an attractive recruiting tool for individuals.

Of course, don't underestimate the value of convenience either. The GSDC is fully aware of the critical impact air service would have on the entire community, including recreational travelers.

The GSDC air service initiative is centered around attracting a national carrier that would provide service to the key hub of Chicago O'Hare (ORD) airport. This would allow for easy air connection to practically any domestic or international destination. The increased scale and significantly more robust flight schedule of ORD also makes it a far more competitive market for airfare than the Minneapolis – St. Paul (MSP) airport.

Your help is needed in securing regional air service for our community. Learn more about how regional air service will positively affect your business and the greater St. Cloud area by visiting Let's go STC.
