Attached is some outstanding economic development news: Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc., based in Kansas City, Kansas, is
partnering with Coborn’s to expand AWG’s distribution footprint to Greater St. Cloud, resulting in construction of a one million square foot facility and many new jobs.
For the past few weeks, GSDC Business Development Director Leslie Dingmann and I have been working with Chris Rice and the Rice Companies team and have been closely involved with this project, which until today had been confidential. We worked with Coborn’s and the city of St. Cloud to demonstrate to AWG why it should choose our region for its Upper Midwest expansion.
The GSDC will continue to be involved moving forward, by assisting AWG with site selection, workforce attraction and more. For now, though, we wanted to quickly let you know of this great news.
